Klubski Maraton (Club Marathon) is a project run by Radio Student in which each year six artists or bands are chosen to make a tour throughout Slovenia and its clubs. The project has been running since 2001, and is meant as a boost to the Slovenian alternative music scene, aiming to help the bands get the needed stage mileage and audience recognition.

▶ Klinci - fast-tracked rap heroes from Metlika
Young and well-versed trio from Bela Krajina, serving nihilistic, careless and cutting rhymes wrapped in strong trap. Majki Swat, Princ Haski and Laki Latex can soon expect attention from the broad south-eastern region. Their dialectic is a tool for fluid creativity, enabling them to introduce the broader Balkan style to the classical street rhyme kicking known to the province.
▶ Lelee - a cosmopolitan garage trio located in the broad regional radius
These vagabonds coming from stuffy garages from all over the Balkans take us back to the moment in history when punk was still pop. At first they seem dreamy, but make no mistake as they are restlessly determined to defeat society’s apathy. Like kids from the concrete playgrounds, they will bring people from former Yugoslavia together with their persistent but compassionate DIY lo-fi sounds.
▶ Spiral mind - electro free fall from the coast
Musical flora and fauna sprout from the trans-genres epidermis of hip-hop and psychedelic guitars, sogged by rain of internet cloud. Topographies of Manuel Brajnik’s inner world succumb to viral mutations of a free-falling live band that swings between the analogue and the digital, evolving into an extra-spicy sound trip.
▶ ɜ:rma - Štajerska’s singer-songwriter venom in mid-portions
Female duet from Štajerka seems at first like a simple combination of guitar and vocals. But this is a singer-songwriter duet that lives in the grey area of spilled ink and shows the mirror to human antagonisms. The duet does not seek perfection. Rather, they involve their everyday microcosm into poetic fundamentals. A microcosm that is stubbornly distilled into a sweet, venomous drink.
▶ Kavasutra - Gorica’s jazz overflight in short formation
Selected members of Kombo C have been improvising and composing for the past three years in the Creative Zone Vrtojba near Nova Gorica. Theirs is a gentle, adventurous and humorous blend of jazz and rock that requires the usage of psychedelic substances and alcohol. It is a unique, historical-cultural sound against monogamy, capitalism and the police state, typical of Primorska’s rebellious stance.
▶ Billy Clubs - boiled hardcore cocktail from Trieste
Troublemakers from Trieste wish to take over the audience with their accelerated sound of aggression that has only been fueled during the pandemic. Their belonging to hardcore punk and metal with rockabilly aesthetics is manifested through punk’n’roll tunes which are marked by the fifth element of the stage presence, supported by sovereign hissing in English language.
