Njihove skladbe zaznamujejo nadrealistične besedilne skice, ki pa v temelju izražajo predvsem čudenje nad nadzoru vselej izmikajočim se svetom. V svojih pesmih skozi nekonvencionalno obliko instrumentalnega tria Kukushai iščejo nove možnosti in kombinacije znotraj prepletov alternativnih žanrov, vendar v iskanju novosti nikoli ne žrtvujejo svojih nostalgičnih glasbenih aspiracij.
Kompozicije s plošče v koncertem okolju zaživijo skozi odprto improvizacijo, ki odpira poti impresivnim, bogatim, predvsem pa močno karakterno obarvanim zvočnim zgodbam.
Glasbo tria Kukushai bi le ztežka označevali s standardnimi žanri jazza, popa, punka, eksperimentalne ali folk glasbe, vseeno pa je moč vse te vplive jasno slediti skozi njihov glasbeni izraz.

Kukushai so mednarodni trio v postavi priznanega pianista in skladatelja Roka Zalokarja, multidisciplinarne umetnice ter vokalistke Eve Poženel in SunMi Hong, ene najbolj cenjenih bobnark na amsterdamski sceni.
Plošča je nastajala po različnih dvoranah, spalnicah, kleteh in dnevnih sobah širom Evrope. Za snemanje, miks in produkcijo je poskrbel Rok Zalokar, za zvočno obdelavo in mastering pa Enos Kugler. Vizualna podoba albuma je delo Eve Poženel.
Album izide 5. maja 2017 za Založbo Radia Študent na CD-ju in v digitalni obliki.
